Washington Want Global 'Patriot Act'

The U.S.A. is pushing for uniformity in anti-terror laws on a global scale, at times attempting at wooing nations into implementing 'replicas' of the infamous and rights violating Patriot Act. Several Muslim nations have been subjected to such attempts by the U.S. with its Embassies and the U.S. Department of State playing a role in the global offensive.

The U.S. has an entire governmental arm dedicated to pursuing the agenda of getting the maximum states on board but it faced opposition from countries like Malayia and Indonesia while in the Philippines the authorities are playing fiddle by showing growing willingness to adopt 'pages' of the U.S. anti-Terror laws. It is not sure whether Singapore and Thailand has also been subjected to the American 'push' for the adoption of a mirror 'Patriot Act' in each and every nations in the South East Asian belt but the certainty is that the U.S. is pushing hard to press on these nations to ensure that their laws are more 'compatible' to that what is existent in the U.S.
The U.S. told Malaysian officials that International Terrorism threatens the U.S., its 'allies' and interests, and the world community. "Defeating the terrorist enemy requires sound policies, concerted U.S. Government effort, and international Cooperation." the governments in the region were told by Embassy officials and by the frequent visiting 'fellows' from the U.S. Department of State.
As a matter of fact, these very words can be seen on the http://www.state.gov/s/ct/ which is the official U.S. State Department of State website and they form the core of the U.S. diplomatic efforts to rope in Muslim nations in particular to join the increasing frontier of 'anti-terror' networks. The aim is to squeeze the anti-American 'Muslims' and indeed any one who is virtually anti-American in nature or in thoughts. The American efforts, though understandable on American territory, sound more like the armada of brainwashing of everyone who is anti-American and this does not respect the right of individuals and groups who are independently or not anti-U.S. policies. In essence, it is an attempt to 'create' a 'big brother' network that will watch the every move of all anti-American thinking people globally.
In Malaysia, a few months back, the U.S. attempted at meddling in the nation's nascent 'food security' and bio-terrorism, agro-terrorism by-laws. The repeated attempts by the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur to force the Malaysian counterparts to include 'Patriot Act' materials in the local cooked anti-terror laws failed. The Malaysians did not like the hurry with which the Americans wanted to control the local anti-terror laws and these manipulations offended the Ministries that were working on the drafting of by-laws and by-lines for the anti-terror laws.
"Led by Ambassador-at-Large Daniel Benjamin, the primary mission of the Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism (S/CT) is to forge partnerships with non-state actors, multilateral organizations, and foreign governments to advance the counterterrorism objectives and national security of the United States.  Working with our U.S. Government counterterrorism team, S/CT takes a leading role in developing coordinated strategies to defeat terrorists abroad and in securing the cooperation of international partners." the State Department website says in clear words.
Hence it is obvious that the U.S. is expanding its 'national' shores to the rest of the world and the foreign governments as well as non-state actors (NGO's?) and other 'Peace Organizations" as seen in the mention of 'multilateral organizations' in the statement by the State Department. This expansion of its legal territorial activities into the 'territorial' integrity of other nations is reminiscent of the dead Roman Empire that imposed rules, terms and conditions on other peoples of the world - conqured or not by the Romans - in a bid to protect the 'national interests' of the Roman Empire. This however did not last long for the Romans which finally ran out of steam and were vanquished by the Muslims in the plains of Arabia. This defeat at the hands of
Usama bin Zaid and this army became the first Muslim forces to defeat the Romans in battle, thus paving the way for the subsequent conquests of the Syrian and Egyptian regions, both of which were captured during the lifetime of Usamah. This Roman defeat in Syria is significant of the subsequent folding of the Roman Empire and its total collapse. The measure of interference and meddling in other nations affairs, the degree of imposition of laws, rules and regulations on other peoples and the domination of many parts of the world by Rome did not prevent the fading of the Empire.
Today we have the United States of America playing the Roman game, imposing, conquering and domineering as if the future is only in their hands and other people have no rights at all. Time may prove sooner or later that the dominant U.S. will altogether fold itself and turn into the 'dead' Roman Empire because nothing will stop the people of this earth to rid itself of 'colonialists' and of the representatives of 'state' terrorism. The people love their freedom too much to allow a U.S. imposition of rules and regulations on their heads and that is why the American cooked 'Patriot Act' will remain in the U.S. and die in the U.S.
