Ramadan: The greatest season of all

This is a special post. It is from my son who wanted his writings to be published on World Futures. He is very committed to the success of the site that he feels he should communicate too.

Hence, I opened the pages here for him to express himself. A budding writer indeed and a very talkative one, which make me think he might be an audio visual media reporter or presenter in the future. Happy reading folks.

For the Muslims, Ramadan should be the greatest season of all. We not only get to fast, we also experience a few great things. When we Muslims get to fast the whole day without eating and drinking, we feel the hunger and the thirst of those who are not fortunate.

We have to complete thirty days of fasting and that means when Ramadan time, we get a great reward. To me the reward is the Eid el Fitr or Raya time.

We then go to visit relatives and friends in their homes and we have a good time too. Then if we Muslims fast for another six days after the Raya, it is like we Muslims have fasted for one year!

Then Allah will give us a lot of rewards too. I love fasting when the Ramadan time because there will be no Satan to disturb us and we have to make efforts to wake up very early morning.

Ramadan time is like the time when the Al-Quraan was sent to mankind some 1429 years ago.

So let’s have a great time fasting before the Raya comes.
