My First Poem - A rendition 37 years later
Written by kazi mahmood Wednesday, 10 February 2010 14:14 Last Updated on Thursday, 11 February 2010 18:11
This poem is about my little sister who was having problems understanding why the sky would turn dark and the rain would start pouring after the brambroum of thunder and the shattering lighting on the tree branches. She clutched a mango leaf thinking it would save a tree from the thunder...and I wrote the poem on a piece of newspaper cutting. This version is a modern one indeed as the first was written 37 years ago!
rain, rain a rainy day
she was confused
the doldrum in the sky
the water pouring fast
rain, rain a rainy day
it was a moment
to ponder, stop, smile
what am I doing
A little girl
with the fear
of the sky
the sound and light
what is life
with the rain
the thunder
the lighting
grasping a mango leaf
running into shelter
rain, rain what a rainy day
downtown Port Louis City
It was in Port Louis City, Mauritius where I was born...

Eyes in Sky - This video will really scare you
Though we do not really know who took the videos and where it originates, we have the information that it was taken after the Indonesian earthquake in Padang, Riau. If you look patiently at the video, you will see a pair of eyes that is formed in the clouds overlooking a village in Indonesia. It will really shock and scare you!
However, apparently this video was taken a few years ago in Russia. Hence the source is unknown and the location too but it is a very real video, not a graphic picture.
