Haiti: USA's misguided policies, empty promises

Is Haiti an example of gross carelessness of 'international' community which fighting wars but forgetting other security aspects? The U.S. government has for too long put emphasis on the 'war' factor as the major 'security' concerns of its people and has reduced to zero the need to secure the lives of nations like Haiti. The U.S. has also made too many empty promises of 'help' and 'assistance' across the world and in Haiti in 1994 for the Haiti people to 'trust' Washington.

The U.S. Intervention in Haiti in 1994 is the start of the loss of faith of the people of Haiti in the United States. The intervention, planned to be a peaceful one if things go the U.S. way but a forceful one with full military intervention if things go awry, was to 'win hearts and minds' in Haiti. What the Haiti people got in return for the U.S. trumped up intervention is the massive death toll in the earthquake that has devastated the country this week.

Why is the U.S. to be held responsible for an earthquake, a natural disaster says many, while Washington is now trying to 'help' Haiti? The U.S. is the main leader in an anti-Islam crusade. It is using money converted into bombs to supposedly keep its frontier safe from Muslim bigots attacking it and destroying the 'way of living' of the American people.

In this desperate march, the American regime has forgotten why it entered Haiti in 1994 and it also forgot about its earlier promises, unfulfilled until today, to make Haiti a vibrant and living democracy. In the aftermath of the earthquake, the Haiti people are hearing the same empty promises from the Americans. Bill Clinton the former U.S. President said today that the Haitian people will now see the full force of the U.S. support for their country. This will remain another empty promises since the U.S. is busy killing the people of a too many Muslim countries for it to be able to bring any relief or help to the Haiti people.

Instead of concentrating major efforts in rebuilding Haiti from 1994 onwards, the United States went to wars, launching pre-emptive strikes (which started under Ronald Reagan) and has since then fought several wars on Muslim lands. Haiti is a country that is known for its corrupt political system, the cruel domination of a few capitalists who controls the political system and the high rate of poverty, aids and drunkenness among its populace. The White House failed the Haitians once and they will fail the Haiti people again because whereever the U.S. sets its foot, it brings social decadence and destruction.

The earthquake in Haiti is definitely the perfect example of the deliberate abandonment of the poor nations by the rich countries which have only one thing in mind: colonize the poor and extract the maximum from them by spoiling their resources. In the case of Haiti, the country was a dumping site for drugs that transits throught the country before entering the U.S. Obviously, the DEA and the Homeland Security decided to close their eyes on the drug business from Haiti as it feeds the 'capitalist' sponsors of American extremism and American international-state terrorism.

It is also an example of the gross and deplorable fate in which the poor societies are left to mend for themselves, which is a principle of capitalism indeed, while the U.S. and the U.K or France (the rich kids on the block) bails out the rich kids in the business, banking and stock exchange sectors. There is nothing for the poor, nothing for Haiti of course and nothing for 'progress and development' in the 3rd World. France is now even considering pulling out its 'aid' to African nations because it feels it needs more money to build more equipment and weapons to fight 'Muslims' in Afghanistan and now Yemen. The United States burns trillions of U.S. dollars in weaponry, equipment and in soldiers pay to kill Muslims in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen but they fail Haiti and they disregard the need to safeguard the poor people of the world from the natural havocs.

Is it possible that the Haiti people, for example, would not be seen struggling, practically begging for 'help' after the earthquake because they do not have the necessary facilities to cater for the wounded and even to carry away the dead? This is a shameful violation of the rights of the people of the planet - who forms part of the so called 'international community' - but who are given only the chewed bones to survive upon? Is that the 'Christian' spirit? American newspapers are linking the fate of Haiti and the bogus American 'help' on the 'religious' factor. The fact that Obama is a Black Christian is seen as important in the American help for Haiti, a Black Christian state.

This is the shame on the U.S. and maybe more such events will take place on this earth as long as Washington and the White House continues to blaspheme the world by killing millions in the name of God!
