Plan to buy Taliban off will backfire

The British plan to buy off the Taliban and corrupt its fighters with a bail-out plan of US$500 million will most probably backfire as the money will serve the Taliban to get more weapons in the long run. The West is either unaware of the Taliban fighters pledge of brotherhood or they are simply ignoring it in the vain hope that they can end the Taliban's existence with the pittance.

By all means, the amount of $500 million is insufficient to end the war in Afghanistan as it is indeed insufficient to buy the Taliban out. The option of ending the war earlier is possible if and only if the West decides to tell the truth and accept the Taliban as the major political faction that can change the future of the country. But since this is not on the Western cards as recognizing the Taliban as the faction that can ultimately change the course of history in Afghanistan will mean total defeat and a big kick in the posterieur of the Western nations altogether. Hence the option of corrupting the Afghans suspicious of working with the Taliban or fighting temporarily for the Taliban is dangled as the magic solution.
The scheme would offer cash, jobs and other incentives to the Taliban and fighters in other armed groups reported the Al-Jazeera network. The Network said it learnt of the plan which is aimed at persuading the fighters to lay down their arms through its correspondent in London. "In advance of an international conference in London to discuss Afghanistan's future on Thursday, Japan, the US and Britain are said to be leading the proposal." said the Network.
The British and the Western capitals has actually fallen into the trap laid by the Hamid Karzai group to extork more funds from the West. The bulk of the money will be siphoned as usual and will end up in the hands of the corrupt machinery that the Karzai regime has laid down in Kabul. The beneficiaries of the magical plan will be the Karzai family, the American diplomats and officers in place in Kabul and the other Western culprits who are occupying the Muslim nation. The people of Afghanistan will get the little pittance that they usually get when large sums of cash is dedicated to 'rebuild' the country or like in this case, to buy out the Taliban.
The UK, the U.S.A. and other nations knows that it cannot fight the Taliban and cannot win the war hence it has to tell the world it has a super plan to end the conflict without even capturing the Taliban leaders and this is another form of corruption of the pro-Taliban fighters.
Many of these fighters - a large majority of them indeed - will line up to take up what ever little cash will be given to those laying down their arms and they will give the relay the cash to the Taliban in a long line of underground funding for the movement. This will allow the Taliban to build more IED's and develop its newest weapons on its drawing board as they won't need that many old guns that will be laid down by the 'fighters' to collect the bonus cash.
Backfiring it will for the West and it will probably take a year or so for the rest of the world to realize that the West lead them by the nose into yet another lie and closer to a tremendously shocking defeat in Afghanistan!
